Review and merge a workspace
Read the diff, leave inline comments, create the PR, and merge — all in one panel.
The detail panel on the right of a workspace is where reviewing and shipping happen. It tracks the worktree's git state live, so what you see always matches what's on disk.
The review tabs
- All files — the full worktree file tree, so you can open anything for context.
- Changes — only the files the agent added, modified, deleted, or renamed.
- Diff — the change set against your base branch, in unified or split view, with syntax highlighting.
Inline comments
In a file's diff, hover a changed line and click the + to comment; shift-click to extend the selection across a range. Each comment captures the file, the line, and the code, plus your note. When you've queued a few, hit Submit and Kalauz sends them to the agent as an ordered list — the same as handing a colleague your review notes. The queue clears when the diff reloads.
Running it
Before you ship, exercise the change: run your Run script or tests from the console panel. See Testing.
Creating the PR
When no PR exists yet for the branch, the header shows Create PR. It briefs
the agent to push the branch and open the pull request with gh pr create
against your base branch. Kalauz detects the open PR afterwards and swaps the
button for merge controls.
Merging
Merging is a two-step confirm, so it's hard to do by accident. Kalauz merges the
workspace branch into your base branch in the main repo with a merge commit. It
checks first that there's a real base branch (not a detached HEAD) and reports
the result inline if the merge can't be applied cleanly.
Archiving
Done with a workspace? Archive it (⌘⇧A). It moves into the
Archived section of the sidebar and out of your active list; the worktree
stays on disk so you can come back to it. An optional archive script runs first
— handy for tearing down anything the workspace spun up.
What's next?
- From issue to PR — the whole task, start to ship.
- Agent behavior — what the agent can and can't do during a run.
