Install
Download and install Kalauz on macOS, Windows, or Linux.
Kalauz ships as a single self-contained native binary built on .NET 10 and Avalonia — no runtime to install alongside it. Grab the build for your platform from the download menu, or follow the per-OS steps below.
macOS
Download the signed, notarized .pkg installer and open it — macOS walks you
through the standard installer flow. When it finishes, launch Kalauz from
your Applications folder.
If you took an unsigned build from another machine, Gatekeeper may ask you to right-click → Open the first time, or clear the quarantine flag:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Kalauz.app
Windows
Download the .exe installer and run it. If SmartScreen warns about an
unrecognized app, choose More info → Run anyway — the build is signed, and
Microsoft's reputation check warms up over the first few releases.
Linux
Kalauz is distributed as an AppImage — a single self-contained file that runs on most distributions with no install step.
chmod +x Kalauz-*.AppImage
./Kalauz-*.AppImage
Verify the install
Open Kalauz and you should land in the control room. Kalauz drives the git,
claude, and (optionally) codex CLIs that are already on your machine, so
make sure they're on your PATH — you can override their locations later under
Settings → Advanced.
